GCatering Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
The Catering Supervisor will oversee all catering venues at Riverwalk Stadium, including twenty luxury suites, three picnic venues with capacity of 50 – 2500 people, and the unique Club Car Bar catering venue. This person will help manage a staff of at least fifteen (hourly and volunteers), including suite servers and picnic supervisors. The Catering Supervisor will focus on the details of planning and executing all catering operations effectively. This person will work with the Executive Chef to maintain proper inventory levels, and will be responsible for catering event client service, offering menu and pricing recommendations, overseeing the pre-game setup of all suites and catering venues, and ensuring that food delivery, bill distribution, and the opening and closing of picnic venues are done in a timely manner. The Catering Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Food Service.

This will be a full-time seasonal position, starting in February, 2010 and running through the end of the baseball season in September. This person will be required to work a full-time schedule that includes regular office hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm), all Biscuits’ home games (70 games), and any other catering events held at Riverwalk Stadium. This schedule varies and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in foodservice, restaurants, or catering required

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem solving skills

• Must be able to maintain strong thinking skills while under pressure and time limits

• Strong communication and people management skills

• Basic computer skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

START DATE: February, 2010

COMPENSATION: $425 per week
